Hajj And Umrah Travel Entrepreneurs The Value Of Supervision Of The DPR Before The Peak Of Hajj Gives Comfort To Congregations

JAKARTA - Chairman of Bersathu (Together with Travel Hajj & Umrah Entrepreneurs), HM Farid Aljawi positively welcomed the steps taken by the DPR's Hajj Supervisory Team (Timwas) which had directly supervised the implementation of the 1446 H / 2025 M Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

One of the highlights of the DPR'swas Team was regarding the tents of Indonesian pilgrims in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna) which were overcapacity and facilities that were still inadequate.

Farid Aljawi assessed that detailed supervision from the DPR before the start of the peak of the hajj on June 4, 2025, could ensure that Indonesian pilgrims worship comfortably. He believes that the implementation of the peak Hajj in 2025 will be better than before because the existing shortcomings can be anticipated immediately.

"The findings before the implementation (of the peak) were much better, so once the implementation was no longer a problem, it could be anticipated," said Farid Aljawi, Tuesday, June 3.

"So that the congregation is comfortable, now it must be based on services for the congregation, especially the elderly, and women. There must be zero problems," he continued.

Farid said the supervision carried out by the DPR prior to the placement of Syarikah could evaluate things that were lacking, such as the capacity of people who would fill inn tents during Armuzna's trip.

"Maybe the placement of sharia is different, something is missing. If we look at it like that, but the spirit of Hajj this year is much better," said Farid.

Farid also mentioned a number of notes that were of concern in the implementation of this year's Hajj. First, the reduced number of pilgrims from various countries in the world, which has almost reached 600,000 people. Second, the government strictly prohibits people from entering Hajj locations without using a Hajj visa.

"This is the Government's seriousness to serve pilgrims. The government is really saklak, firm and detailed that it can no longer be other than people who use hajj visas entering the circle which is prohibited for the implementation of the hajj, including the Grand Mosque, Aminah Musdalifah and Arafah," he said.

"Those who enter there must be sterile, those who use Hajj visas and special cards according to their needs," added Farid.

Farid also assessed that coordination between the Government and the DPR RI is now also much better. He also encouraged the supervision of the DPR to be maximized, not only during implementation in the field but also complete management of the pilgrimage.

"From A-Z, the DPR must supervise. Starting from registration, management, the DPR must supervise because everything stems from management, both from data management, and finance," he said.

"Now the implementation (of the peak of the hajj) is not yet, it is still preparation. It is hoped that all sides of the DPR will have a note that it could later become a discussion material for the implementation of the hajj in the future which is much better. But in principle, this year's Saudi Arabia serves much better because the number of congregations is less," continued Farid.

Farid hopes that the DPR can also provide positive input both to the Government of Indonesia and to the Government of Saudi Arabia so that the Hajj service is truly in favor of Indonesian pilgrims.

"So our Hajj pilgrims really feel the service," he concluded.

Previously, the Chairperson of the DPR Hajjwas Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal conducted an impromptu inspection (Sidak) of a number of congregational tents in Arafah and Mina on Sunday, June 1. Together with other members of the DPR Hajj Team, he found tents for Indonesian pilgrims in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna) who were prepared to contain more beds than they should.

"If the concept is like this, tomorrow we will evaluate with the Hajj organizing committee. This will definitely happen again later, the accumulation of pilgrims that I say is inhumane," said Cucun, quoted from his personal Instagram, Monday, June 2.

Based on the findings of the DPR's Hajjwas Team, each tent was prepared to be filled by around 300 congregants. Whereas the ideal capacity is only for 200 people.

"So there is no space for the distance between beds and other beds," said Cucun.

Therefore, the leadership of the DPR, which is one of the fields of work related to religious affairs, encourages the Government to immediately provide reserve tents so that they can be used during the peak of Hajj in order to deal with the potential for congregational buildup. In addition to capacity issues, Cucun also asked the Government to address the problem of toilet cleanliness, consumption distribution, and room conditioning readiness.

"We want to make sure the congregation gets the best service, especially at the peak of worship that is prone to physical fatigue," he said.
