Vadel Badjideh Case Declared P21, Prosecutor's Office Prepares Layered Indictments

JAKARTA - The legal process against Vadel Badjideh continues. The head of the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office, Prabowo, said that his party had stated that the case file was complete and ready to proceed to the next stage.

"(Untuk kasus Vadel Badjideh) Jadi setelah kita melakukan penelitian berkas yang disampaikan oleh teman-teman penyidik dari Polres Jakarta Selatan, kita sudah menyatakan bahwa berkas sudah lengkap, kita menyatakan P21," jelas Prabowo, Selasa, 3 Juni 2025.

With the declared complete file, the Prosecutor's Office continued to process phase II, namely the submission of the suspect and evidence from the investigator to the public prosecutor.

"And today on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, until the process of handing over the suspect and evidence or better known as phase II," he continued.

In this case, the Prosecutor's Office will apply a number of articles that are considered relevant to the alleged crime.

"Based on the Kasi Pidum report, we will apply several articles, including Article 81 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 82 paragraph 1 of Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection, then article 77A paragraph 1, it is still about the Child Protection Law. There are several articles, 428 letters A in conjunction with Article 60 of Law no. 17 of 2003 concerning the Health Law, and Article 348 of the Criminal Code," he said.

These articles will be applied in layers to strengthen the charges that will be brought to court.

"We will try to apply this article in layers while later after stage II, of course, I will appoint a public prosecutor (JPU) who will process later, convene in court," said Prabowo.

He also emphasized that the Prosecutor's Office had prepared a team of prosecutors to handle this case seriously.

"We have appointed 2 prosecutors, and after stage II of course we will make improvements to the indictment. Making the indictment and we will examine it properly, we will perfect the indictment until later we will transfer it to the court," he concluded.

Previously, content creator Vadel Badjideh was named a suspect in the alleged harassment and abortion case against Nikita Mirzani's daughter, Laura Meizani.

"From various statements including Loly, NM, from witnesses, the case was carried out and the title of the case named Vadel Alfajar Badjideh as a suspect," said Razman Arif, Vadel Badjideh's attorney at the South Jakarta Police, Thursday, February 13.
