JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Health Office continues to monitor routine COVID-19 cases this year. The Health Office recorded the number of COVID-19 cases from January 1 to May 31, 2025, totaling 38 positive cases.
Until mid-2025, the peak of cases occurred in January with 25 cases of COVID-19, February with 2 cases, March 1 case, April 4 cases, and May 6 cases.

After the Ministry of Health issued a circular regarding the vigilance to increase COVID-19 cases in several countries, the DKI Health Office did several things. These include strengthening the surveillance system and reporting cases in all health care facilities, both in health centers and hospitals.
"Then, ensure the preparedness of health services, including the availability of medical personnel, isolation rooms, and referral systems in the event of a spike in cases. Also, intensify education to the public so that they continue to apply clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS)," he explained.
Ovi appealed to residents who want to travel abroad to always follow health protocols in their destination countries and ensure that their body condition remains fit, including completing COVID-19 vaccination, especially for vulnerable groups such as the elderly and people with chronic diseases.
The Ministry of Health issued a Circular (SE) to increase COVID-19 vigilance and other risk outbreaks following an increase in the number of COVID-19 in a number of countries in Asia.
