Taking Advantage Of PPDB 2025, Schools Are Prohibited From Selling Student Uniforms
SOUTH SUMATRA - The Department of Education and Culture (Disdikbud) of East Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, South Sumatra (Sumsel) reminded all educational units not to sell student uniforms that burden the people in the region.
Head of East OKU Education and Culture, Wakimin, said schools were prohibited from taking advantage of the admission period for new students (PPDB) to sell uniforms to prospective students.
"This rule applies to all elementary school (SD) and junior high school education units under the auspices of the East OKU Education and Culture Office," he said in Martapura, Tuesday, June 3, which was confiscated by Antara.
He emphasized that the public is given the freedom to buy school uniforms, such as red white clothes for elementary and blue white for junior high schools as well as Scout uniforms in their respective preferred places.
It's just that, he said, related to sports uniforms and batik, the use mechanism can be discussed through an agreement between schools and parents.
"Because sports uniforms and batik match the motives and pictures of each school. However, it cannot be used as a condition in the process of accepting new students," he said.
If schools want to help procure sports uniforms, this can be facilitated through school cooperatives or in collaboration with third parties.
This is done to create a more inclusive, open, and free educational system from illegal levies in PPDB 2025.'

In addition, he ensured that there were no fees in the PPDB for the 2025 Academic Year for elementary and junior high school levels in East OKU.
The 2025 PPDB process whose registration is done online is with four receipts, namely the affirmation route for students from underprivileged families and people with disabilities.
In addition, zoning routes based on domicile addresses, achievement routes and transfer routes for the duties of parents or mutations.
Previously, East OKU Regent Lanosin Hamzah appealed to all schools in the area not to collect school uniforms that violate the regulations.
"If there is a levy, it must be voluntary and should not burden students," he said.
He emphasized that he would form a team to ensure that school uniform levies were carried out fairly and in accordance with applicable regulations so that no students were burdened.
