The Most Popular PDIP Version Of The IPO Survey, This Is What Adian Said About Megawati, Oligarchy, And Money Politics

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Adian Napitupulu assessed that PDIP's position as the most popular party according to the Indonesia Political Opinion (IPO) survey reflects people's confidence in the consistency of party struggles.

He said it could not be separated from the values inherited by Bung Karno and continued to be fought for by General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"We express our highest appreciation to all Indonesian cadres, sympathizers, and people who continue to trust PDIP as at the forefront of the struggle for social justice, democracy and national sovereignty," Adian said in his statement in Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, June 3.

Adian emphasized that the survey results were not only about electability, but also about the party's ideological commitment to defending the interests of the small people, advancing the people's economy, and maintaining Pancasila as the nation's ideology.

He also highlighted the role of General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri and PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto in maintaining the direction of the party's struggle to stay in line with the ideals of the people.

The results of this survey prove that Mrs. Mega's message continues to resonate. The people see PDIP's consistency in rejecting transactional politics, fighting against oligarchy, and fighting for pro-people policies such as agrarian reform, quality education, and protection against MSMEs," said Adian.

In the IPO survey, apart from the PDIP, the National Mandate Party (PAN) and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) also entered the top five most popular parties.

Related to this, Adian welcomed the dynamics of democracy but reminded that popularity should not only be an empty image.

"Don't let popularity just become a tool for pragmatic purposes," he said.

He also reminded all PDIP cadres not to be complacent. According to him, the results of this survey should be a whip to work harder, especially facing challenges such as money politics, hoaxes, and threats to democracy.

"PDIP must remain the pioneer of change and guardian of the constitution in realizing the contents of the 1945 Constitution," he said.

Adian also called for all elements of the nation to unite under the values of Pancasila, to stay away from politics against each other and foreign interests.

"PDIP siap memimpin dengan keteladanan, kesederhanaan, dan kerja nyata untuk rakyat," tutup Adian, seraya mengakhiri pernyataannya dengan seruan “Hidup Rakyat Indonesia! Hidup PDIP! Bersama Megawati, Indonesia Menang!”

"PDIP is ready to lead with exemplary, simplicity, and real work for the people," concluded Adian, ending his statement with the call 'Long live the Indonesian People! Live PDIP! Together with Megawati, Indonesia Wins!'
