GWM Says Ora 03 Receives Dozens Of SPKs In Indonesia, Ready To Launch This Year

JAKARTA - Great Wall Motor (GWM) will certainly introduce its first Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) for the Indonesian market called Ora 03 this year.

The presence of the electric model fills the market for renewable energy vehicles (NEV) from GWM, after launching from other models such as H6 and Jolion from Haval and subbrand Tanks with models of 300 and 500.

Ahead of its launch in Indonesia, this compact-sized hatchback can be ordered by consumers.

This was confirmed by the Strategy & Marketing Director of GWM Indonesia, Martina Danuningrat said that his party had received Vehicle Ordering Letters (SPK) for Ora 03 to dozens of units.

"There are already transactions. The SPK itself has dozens of units," said Martina when met by the media in Wanaherang, Bogor, Monday, June 2.

In addition, he also added that later Ora 03 will arrive in Indonesia as an imported product (CBU) and will enter local production (CKD) at the Wanaherang factory, Bogor owned by Inchcape no later than this year.

"Later, God willing, Ora 03 will enter local production at the end of this year or early next year," added Martina.

Although there will be a transfer of production from CBU to CKD, Martina ensures that the price from Ora 03 will not change for the country's market.

"No (change in price), we have calculated everything. The prices of CBU and CKD will be the same here," explained Martina.

Ora 03 was previously introduced at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) as well as signifies GWM's commitment to marketing environmentally friendly vehicles in Indonesia.

Carrying the five-door hatchback style, the car has an electric motor with a front wheel drive that produces 143 dk of power and 230 Nm of torque. With a 47.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, Ora 03 is capable of traveling at a distance of up to 400 km in one charge.
