Korlantas Polri Starts The Socialization Stage 'Indonesia Without ODOL Trucks'

JAKARTA - The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the National Police has begun to socialize the elimination of Over Dimension and Over Loading (ODOL) or Zero Odol vehicles. The socialization process is carried out for 30 days, starting from June 1, 2025.

Kakorlantas Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho said this stage was a crucial phase in implementing the action plan towards zero ODOL which had been thoroughly designed.

"This socialization stage focuses, among others, on updating traffic intelligence data, especially regarding vehicle ownership data indicated that it is not in accordance with the provisions of vehicle dimensions throughout Indonesia," Agus said in his statement, Monday, June 2.

In this stage of socialization, it will also focus on increasing public awareness and a persuasive approach, namely through the delivery of information, appeals, and direct education to drivers and vehicle owners.

It is hoped that vehicle owners can normalize their vehicles that are not in accordance with the provisions or do not operate these vehicles to support traffic safety and order.

In addition, Agus said that this socialization stage is also an important opportunity to build mutual understanding and maximize the active participation of the community, especially transportation business actors, in supporting the transformation towards a safe, orderly, and sustainable transportation system.

"Towards Indonesia Zero ODOL is not only an effort to enforce the law, but also a joint movement to maintain the safety and smooth running of national traffic," said Agus.

Vehicles that have dimensions and/or charges beyond the standard aka ODOL have become a scourge in Indonesia's transportation system. In addition to potentially causing accidents, ODOL can also damage transportation facilities and infrastructure.
