Bali Governor Calls Arak Buleleng Tembus Chinese Export Market
Bali Governor Wayan Koster revealed that traditional or arak drink products from Buleleng Regency, Bali, penetrated the export market to China.
"This June we will export to China," said Koster on the sidelines of the opening of the Bali Jagadhita 2025 MSME business exhibition and meeting in Denpasar, Bali, Monday, June 2.
He said the first export of the production procession of North Bali micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) reached around two containers containing around 20 thousand to 30 thousand bottles of various sizes.

Koster revealed that the Buleleng procession was chosen to meet the needs of the bamboo curtain country because it has a good taste.
'Buleleng's wine was chosen because the taste was good,' he said.
When giving a speech at the opening of the annual event, the governor from Buleleng Regency said that the origin of alcoholic beverage products was in demand by Chinese entrepreneurs.
Koster revealed that the Chinese government and business actors are conducting research on alcoholic beverages in a number of countries.

"I am healthy because I regularly consume wine coffee without sugar," he told the exhibition participants.
His party has issued Governor Regulation Number 1 of 2020 concerning the governance of fermented drinks and or typical Balinese distillations.

The protection, maintenance and utilization of Balinese fermented and/or distillation drinks includes Balinese wines, tuaks, brems, artistic products and arak/brams for religious ceremonies.
The regulation also regulates business partnerships, promotions and brands, guidance to supervision.
