If Proven Using A Cellphone In Prison, Jambi Prisoners Threatened To Be Transferred To Nusambangan
JAMBI - Head of the Regional Office (Kakanwil) of the Jambi Ditjenpas reminded inmates or convicts who had problems at the Jambi Penitentiary (Lapas) to be sent to Nusakambangan Prison.
He emphasized that prisoners who were proven to have violated the mutual agreement regarding the prohibition of using cell phones or cellphones and smuggling narcotics into Jambi prisons.
"I am not playing with this agreement, if it is proven, the inmates will be dealt with firmly by sending them to Nusakambangan because this has become our common commitment," said the Head of the Regional Office of the Jambi Hidayat Region Ditjenpas at the Jambi Class IIA Prison during the Commemoration of the Birthday of Pancasila, Monday, June 2, confiscated by Antara.
This sanction will be given to prisoners who do not comply with the rules imposed in prisons in accordance with the pledge and signing of a zero drug agreement and the use of cellphones in prisons.
"If it is proven that someone dares to play, don't be discouraged if you get a penalty for relocation to Nusakambangan Prison and for that, it is an obligation and a shared task to keep the situation conducive, safe and under control," said Hidayat.
The sanction applies to all inmates and officers. All prison officers are expected to obey the agreement and officers should not feel proud, signing an anti-use of cellphones and drugs agreement is a momentum to make better changes in prisons.
"This is our home, a source of livelihood, let's take care of it together. Many queue to work in prisons, if there are still those who play, it means that you are the ones who ask for sanctions," he said.
