Google Presents AI Summary Features Automatically In Gmail

JAKARTA Google has been presenting the ability to summarize email in Gmail since last year, but specifically for paid users. Now., this feature comes automatically to all users.

When finding an email with complicated content, Gemini's AI Summary feature will summarize the message automatically. Summary results will appear at the top of the email, to be precise at the bottom of the email title, in the form of points.

This is a great change because Gmail users, especially those who subscribe to Gemini, no longer need to manually trigger the AI Summary feature. This feature will help users understand incoming messages faster.

For now, the Ringkasa AI feature is automatically only available in English messages. This feature is also only available on mobile devices. Google has not expanded its features to the desktop version of Gmail or website.

It is not yet known whether devices other than mobile phones will receive this update. Google has also not announced when emails other than English will get the feature. Currently, Google is still expanding its features gradually.

Google also does not explain whether this feature is only available to Google Wokspace subscribers or can be accessed for free Gmail users. The reason is, the AI Summary feature so far can only be used by paid subscribers.

If the AI Summary feature is not yet available, you will need to wait until the feature is completed. While waiting, you need to manually request an AI summary by triggering Gemini on the platform.
