After WhatsApp, Meta Will Release Original Instagram App On IPad

JAKARTA WhatsApp isn't the only app that hasn't been on the iPad for decades. Since the first time the device was released, Instagram has never been available in the iPadOS version.

However, this shortfall will be resolved in the near future. Quoting a Bloomberg report, Meta's internal sources said they were testing Instagram for the iPad while continuing to develop its app.

If possible, Instagram will be released this year, depending on how well the performance of the app is. Unfortunately, it is not explained in detail when this launch will take place, whether in the middle of the year or the end of the year.

At least, this news provides a little clarity for iPad users. Over the years, iPad users can only use Instagram designed for iPhones. Even though it operates smoothly, the app's display is very bad.

This happens because the appearance of the Instagram interface for the iPhone does not match the size of the iPad screen. The appearance is not optimal so the performance of the application is also affected. Therefore, not a few users are waiting for the original Instagram application for the iPad.

Meta Starts Thinking About iPad Users

In fact, the plan to develop the Instagram application for the iPad has been disclosed since last April. At that time, Instagram Head Adam Mosseri said that they were starting to develop the Instagram app for the iPad.

For a dozen years, Instagram has no intention of developing an app version for the iPad because of its users. According to Mosseri, not many people want the app so that the creation of a special Instagram iPad application is not a priority.

Apart from being a few Instagram enthusiasts on the iPad, Instagram's workforce was also limited when the application first appeared, even though the workload was quite a lot. Because, they decided not to create an iPad version of Instagram for years.
