Believed To Be A Fashion Show Model, Dede Yusuf Is Nostalgia Of Youth

JAKARTA - Actor and Deputy Chairman of Commission II of the DPR RI, Dede Yusuf, is trusted to be one of the models running on the catwalk for the BTN Indonesia Fashion Week mode event on Sunday, June 1 with his wife, Sendy Ramania Wurandani.

In this event, Dede and Sendy performed a dress by Poppy Dharsono, President of Indonesia Fashion Week. Seeing this, Dede admitted that he enjoyed and was happy because he seemed nostalgic at a young age.

"So I enjoy it, I enjoy it, I am happy because my world used to be like this. After decades I no longer have (fashion shows). It is said to be fun, I miss it too because I see Indonesian products are cool," said Dede Yusuf in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, Sunday, June 1.

Dede admitted that he did not need training to walk on the catwalk with his wife. He just tries to be himself and looks normal because he feels only as a guest star.

"There is no (training). Come at 18.00 WIB, at 19.00 WIB we were already on standby inside, instead we were wondering what the song was? There was a music whose song was really slow. Wow, if the song is slow like this, how is it going? It's really slow. But it turns out that the song is interesting, right," said Dede.

"I'm in principle because if the muse is called a guest star, yes. So we don't need to be a model. We just walk like us. Earlier my wife said, 'we'll turn left, turn right', I said, 'no, not too much. Later we look like we want to beat the model', it's normal," he continued.

When asked about the reason for accepting the offer to participate in this event, Dede Yusuf explained that because the reason the product on display was Garut's work, for him this moment was a moment to introduce products from his hometown as well.

"I happened to be with Aunt Poppy in the 80s, I modeled my aunt Poppy too, so yesterday I met at a friend's wedding, my aunt Poppy asked, 'De, will you not walk anymore?', I answered, 'For my aunt Poppy, I'm okay', just pointed at her," he said.

"Incidentally, Garut's jacket or product is Garut's skin, so I think as a West Javanese I am proud to promote products from Garut," he concluded.
