TC Completes In Bali, The Indonesian National Team Leaves For Jakarta Today

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team will leave for Jakarta on Sunday, June 1 afternoon. The Garuda squad will continue preparations in Jakarta to face China after the training camp (TC) in Bali.

TC previously took place at the Bali United Training Center since May 26 and was completed on May 31. After the agenda, the Garuda Squad is scheduled to fly to Jakarta to undergo the final preparations against China.

A number of reports say Jay Idzes and his friends will fly from Bali on Sunday afternoon. Apart from the players who have gathered in Bali, later there will be Maarten Paes and Kevin Diks who will immediately join in Jakarta.

While the two players who were called up for this period failed to join, they were Eliano Reijnders and Sandy Walsh. Eliano was forced to miss because he had to accompany his wife to give birth, while Sandy was recovering from injury in Japan.

In preparation for China in the 2026 World Cup Qualification continued, the Indonesian national team lost five players. Apart from Eliano and Sandy, other players who missed were Maarten Paes, Marselino Ferdinand, and Ragnar Oratmangoen.

Paes and Marselino cannot be lowered due to the accumulation of yellow cards, while Ragnar is sick. Another player who is quite worrying is Jordi Amat, who has sore throat.

Currently, the Indonesian national team is ranked fourth in Group C standings by collecting 9 points, below Japan, Australia, and Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, China occupies a caretaker with 6 points. Therefore, a victory is needed by the Red and White Team so that opportunities for the 2026 World Cup which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico will be even more open.
