Vape Mixed Amphetamine Factory In Malaysia Raided, 2 Taiwanese Chemical Experts Arrested
JAKARTA - The Malaysian Police arrested two men from Taiwan in a raid by a vape factory mixed with Amphetamine drugs at Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Acting Director of the Department of Narcotics Crime Investigation (JSJN) Bukit Aman, DCP Salahuddin Che Ali said the two suspects were aged 30 and 35 years, working as chemical experts and obtaining mixing drugs from China. The drugs seized in this raid were worth RM3.29 million.
"Initial technical analysis found that this syndicate is believed to be processing a vape liquid containing Amphetamine (Fluoroamphetamine, Paramethoxyamphetamine) which has psychoactive and toxic effects similar to ecstasy in its users," he said at a press conference at the Bukit Aman Police Headquarters, quoted from Bernama, Sunday, June 1.
Salahuddin said his party carried out a raid on Wednesday, May 28. The police who conducted a urine test on the two perpetrators after the raid stated that one of the suspects was affected by drugs and alcohol.
Furthermore, Salahuddin explained, to trick officers, the perpetrators used condominiums with complete security in processing and packing the prohibited substances.
"The venue is rented at a price of RM4,100 per month, and it is believed that they change the processing location every three months, bring in chemical experts from Taiwan and recruit local workers to mislead authorities," he said.

He said the side effects of consuming vape containing drugs could make the wearer's body seizure, liver failure, extreme body temperature, psychosis, brain damage, emotional disorders, extreme addiction, and even sudden death due to heart attack or respiratory failure.
The two suspects also played a role in guarding the vape liquid processing site and sending it to customers. They entered our country using social visit permits and have entered the country twice, earlier this year and earlier this month," continued Salahuddin.
According to him, the vape liquid mixed with Amphetamine is sold to the local market for RM180 per kartride and in the international market around RM400 per kartride.
Through the coordination of the Ministry of Justice's Bureau of Investigation (MJIB) with the Taiwan Criminal Investigation Bureau, the two perpetrators were also revealed to have a criminal record in Taiwan.
"Including murder, drug trafficking, and firearms," he said.
