Menbud: "Earth Harmony" As A Place For Appreciation For Musicians Of The 60s

JAKARTA - Minister of Culture Fadli Zon conveyed that the "Harmoni Zaman" activity is a forum for appreciating, which worked in the 1960s era and contributed to Indonesia's musical journey.

"As part of our efforts to reward the musicians who had escorted the time, their extraordinary timelines for Indonesia and their songs were immortal songs of all time," Fadli said in his remarks at the "Harmoni of the 60s" event, in Jakarta, Saturday.

Fadli said the 1960s era was a challenging time for musicians to be creative and compete.

This is because at that time there was no digital platform to promote songs and still relied on radio to air the songs.

He said musicians who took part in the year could be a symbol of the spirit of the times that voice hope and unite diversity and differences.

Despite being carried out simply, he said this activity is expected to create a music ecosystem that bridges from generation to generation so that our younger generation can get to know legendary musicians as legacy.

He said the "Harmoni Zaman" activity would later be held regularly as a form of government collaboration with the business world and the community to appreciate legendary musicians who are bridges for the next generation.

This appreciation is also a form of the importance of the presence of the Ministry of Culture which considers Indonesian music legends from the 1960s-1980s as part of Indonesia's national assets.

The 'Harmoni Zaman' event was attended by legendary 60s musicians such as Ernie Djohan, Titazah Point, singer couple Titiek Sandhora and Muchsin Alatas and Teti Kadi, who invited the audience to sing with nostalgia by singing popular songs during their time.

Minister of Culture Fadli Zon also gave characters and awards to musicians who attended and appreciated funds as a form of state attention to the lives of artists in the 60s era.
