Attending The SLD Summit In Singapore, Commander Strengthens Bilateral Relations
TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto seeks to strengthen bilateral relations between countries in Asia-Pacific by attending the Asia Security Summit or Asia Security Summit: Shangri-La Dialogue (SLD) 2025 in Singapore, Friday (30/5).
In a press release from the TNI Headquarters broadcast in Jakarta, Saturday, it was explained that SLD is an Inter-Government High-Level Security Conference held annually in Singapore by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS).
In the forum, said Head of the TN Headquarters Information Center Major General Kristomei Sianturi, the TNI Commander will meet with the defense ministers, heads of ministries, and military commanders from most countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
During the meeting, said Major General TNI Kristomei, they discussed various defense issues at the Asia-Pacific level to the world.
Not only that, he continued, the forum could also be an opportunity for the TNI to cooperate in the field of defense with other Asian countries.
The cooperation in the defense sector, continued Major General TNI Kristomei, is believed to be able to strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and other Asian Pacific countries.
"This summit aims to strengthen the sense of togetherness among the most important policymakers in the defense and security sector in the region," explained Major General TNI Kristomei as quoted by ANTARA.
With this activity, Major General TNI Kristomei hopes that the TNI can establish good relations with other countries to maintain Indonesia's defense area and the Asia-Pacific region.

To note, during the meeting the TNI Commander was scheduled to meet several high-ranking military officials, one of whom was the Chief of Defense Staff of the Canadian Armed Forces, General MarrieLAR Jennie Carignan.
