Liverpool Offers For Florian Wirtz Who Can Break The Club Purchase Record
JAKARTA - Liverpool have made an offer of 130 million euros to sign Bayer Leverkusen's playmaker, Florian Wirtz, this summer.
That figure will set the club's purchase record, surpassing the deal for striker Darwin Nunez in 2022, which could still reach 85 million pounds in addition.
Wirtz is expected to continue playing in the Bundesliga next season, both with Leverkusen and German champions Bayern Munich.
However, according to ESPN reports, Wirtz is eager to move to the Premier League after being impressed by Arne Slot's plans.
The German international, who has scored 57 goals and 65 assists in 197 appearances for Leverkusen, is considered high at Anfield. He demonstrated the ability to play in various attacking positions for both his club and country.

Germany's National Team coach Julian Nagelsmann - who is also a former Bayern Munich coach - said on Friday, May 30, 2025, local time, that implied recommending to Wirtz to seek new experiences.
"If he has the best feeling at Liverpool then he should have had it. However, I don't recommend him not to go to Bayern Munich or any other club."
"I don't mean to say what's good and what's bad, but what matters to me as the German National Team. I gave it to him and then he had to make his own decisions," Negelsmann told a news conference.
Wirtz has also been linked with a move to Manchester City and has been appointed a potential substitute for Kevin De Bruyne who is leaving.
However, ESPN previously reported that conversations with Leverkusen and Wirtz representatives resulted in Manchester City choosing to leave the negotiating table as club bosses saw the deal as not financially feasible.
The dialogue between Liverpool and Leverkusen has been ongoing and follows a 30 million deal for full-back Jeremie Frimpong.
