Liverpool Officially Contracted Jeremie Frimpong After Trent Alexander-Arnold Left For Real Madrid

The move will be completed after the transfer window opens on June 1, 2025, with fees to be paid in three separate annual installments.
The deal was announced hours after Trent Alexander-Arnold left early for Real Madrid.

Alexander-Arnold, whose contract will be completed by the end of June 2025, joined the La Liga giants for the 2025 Club World Cup. An agreement worth 10 million euros has also been approved.
Meanwhile, Frimpong is widely seen as a replacement for commensurate Alexander-Arnold.
Slot sees the player as a versatile option on the right. This means that Frimpong was able to replace Mohamed Salah when the Egyptian striker participated in the Africa Cup of Nations which will take place in Morocco this winter.
"It went quite easy. Liverpool came and said they were interested. Obviously, for me it was an easy decision."
"For me, it's like, whatever you guys do, just finish it. (Talk to) my agent, he says just finish it."
"The Liverpool fans, I will give everything, my energy, my work ethic. Hopefully we can win together, we celebrate together, unite everything."
"I'm just happy to be here. Thank you for accepting me. I won't disappoint you. I will give you the energy you want," said Frimpong.
Frimpong has long been linked with a move to the Premier League. Liverpool have been tracking the 24-year-old for more than a decade.
The Reds even tried to recruit him to the academy before he joined Manchester City. Frimpong was a young player at Manchester City for nine years before joining Celtic and then Leverkusen, which means he qualified as a local player in England.
He also has a relationship with Liverpool. There is Manager Arne Slot from the Netherlands and team-mates in the Dutch National Team, such as Ryan Gravenberch, Cody Gakpo, and Virgil van Dijk.
Frimpong is an important part of the most successful period in Leverkusen's history, which starred in the club's unbeaten journey towards last year's inaugural Bundesliga title and DFB Pokal.
Leverkusen also reached the Europa League final, which they lost to Atalanta. This season, Leverkusen finished second, well behind Bayern Munich champions.
When he became a strength in the Bundesliga and Europe, Leverkusen was even left by Xabi Alonso to join Real Madrid. Now, Frimpong is following.
