Moving 100 High Risk Prisoners To Nusakambangan, Ditjenpas Seriously Implements Zero Drugs-HP

The Directorate General of Corrections (Ditjenpas) has again transferred 100 inmates or prisoners at high risk to prisons (prisons) with maximum security in Nusakambangan, Central Java, Friday Petang, May 30.

The convict of the narcotics case from Riau was transferred because he was proven to have committed a serious, partially even repeated violation, namely related to cell phone ownership (HP) and drugs in prisons and detention centers (rutan).

"This is a form of the seriousness of the Ditjenpas and all UPT to clean prisons and detention centers from drugs and cellphone ownership. It is proven that they have made a scene, let alone still dare to mess with drugs and have a cellphone, [the maximum Nusakambangan super capacity, "said the Head of the Correctional Cooperation Sub-Directorate of the Directorate General of Corrections Rika Aprianti quoting Antara.

The prisoners are placed in prisons with maximum and super maximum safety levels. The super maximum prison applies the placement of each inmates in a special cell (one man one cell) with very limited interactions and is fully monitored via CCTV.

"The transfer is led directly by the Director of Security with the team, the Directorate of Internal Compliance of the Directorate General of Social Affairs, [and] employees of the Riau Ditjenpas Regional Office in collaboration with the Riau Police Mobile Brigade," he said.

According to Rika, the transfer of prisoners from 11 prisons and detention centers in the Riau area is not only prosecution and punishment, but also learning for other inmates who are still serving a criminal period so as not to take part in acting.

He also said that the transfer was carried out based on the results of investigations, investigations, deepening, assessments, and applicable regulations. This, he said, was in accordance with the call of nil HP and Drugs' by the Minister of Immigration and Corrections (Imipas) Agus Andrianto.

"So that prisons and remand centers can become safe houses for the development of inmates in accordance with the correctional objectives so that when it comes to returning to society, they can succeed in becoming a whole person aware of their mistakes and benefit the community," he said.

Rika added that with the transfer of 100 prisoners, a total of more than 700 high-risk inmates had been given a transfer to Nusakambangan during the leadership period of Minister Imipas Agus Andrianto.
