Waiting For The End Of Three Years, Ear Sun Appears To Bring Magic For The First Time At The Java Jazz Festival 2025

JAKARTA - Ear Sun for the first time appeared at Asia's largest jazz music festival, the Java Jazz Festival (JJF) 2025, which will start today at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta on Friday, May 30.

It has been three years since Ear Sun was looking forward to a gig at JJF, until finally the singers who carried jazz pop music managed to enliven the event through their performances at Stage Bus, with the concept of a warm show.

"It feels really happy at Java Jazz, it's really a dream come true," said Ear Sun after her appearance.

"I really remember, 2022 I went to Java Jazz with Kinar, producer and songwriter. From there, I started to think about bringing the jazz pop color to my music," he continued.

In his appearance, Ear Sun performed several old songs that were specially rearranged for Java Jazz. Not to forget, he also introduced his latest single entitled 'Ajaib'.

This song is one of the special Ear Sun performances, because this is the first time it has been performed in person, complete with a band and brass section.

This 'Ajaib' has a unique story, and I'm really happy to be able to bring it for the first time at Java Jazz, he said. Even though the song is pop acoustic, it's also thick with pop jazz elements.

Ear Sun appears with lighter music, not as complicated as standard jazz, but that's what makes the audience come to watch it.

For this reason, Ear Sun hopes that jazz music can have wider listeners, especially among young people.

"I really want jazz to be enjoyed by more people, not only for those who have liked it from the start. That's why I try to bring in lighter jazz, but still have character," said Ear Sun.

"Hopefully my appearance earlier can be a good start, and it doesn't stop here," he concluded.
