Newly Learning Driver Nyetir, Pajero Hits Woman To Death In Cakung

JAKARTA - A woman with the initials LM (40), a Mitsubishi Pajero luxury car driver, hit a pickup belonging to a vegetable seller in the Jatinegara Baru Housing area, Cakung District, East Jakarta.

As a result of the accident, the vegetable seller with the initials D suffered severe injuries all over his body.

Meanwhile, the victim with the initials R died as a result of the accident.

R is a woman who is buying vegetables at the scene.

Head of Traffic Unit of East Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Darwis Yunarta, said the accident occurred on Thursday, May 29, 2025.

"This incident started with a woman who learned to drive her Pajero type vehicle," said AKP Darwis to reporters, Friday, May 30.

While turning around in a complex, continued AKP Darwis, then being involved in a traffic accident grazed a vegetable pickup driver's vehicle and there were mothers standing beside the vehicle.

The victim is known to have the initials R, as a vegetable buyer. Meanwhile, the vegetable seller with the initials D.

"The mother who died with the initials R, who was injured in the mother's initials D. The mother with the initials R who died has been buried, while the mother with the initials D is currently still being treated at the Islamic Hospital for the best treatment," he said.

Based on the results of the investigation by the East Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit, the speed of the Pajero car driven by the perpetrator with the initials LM is still normal.

"The speed is actually slow, but because there may be panic from the mother who is still learning fatal. The mother (victim's initials R) who was beside the pickup car was stuck between the car and the tree, died at the Islamic hospital of the coffee shop. Currently it has been buried," he said.

This accident case is still being handled by the East Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit.

The perpetrators with the initials LM and minubus Pajero have been secured at the East Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit office for evidence.

"We have now carried out an examination related to the incident. Yesterday we asked for information and today we will conduct a case title," he said.
