The Constitutional Court's Decision Must Be A Momentum For Prabowo To Prove His Participation With The People

JAKARTA Citra Institute political observer, Efriza assessed that the Constitutional Court's (MK) decision which eliminates the State and Private Junior High Schools (SD) should be used as momentum for President Prabowo Subianto to prove his alignment with the people.

The reason is, Prabowo's campaign promise included in Astacita said that his government will improve the quality of human resources (HR) through education. Thus, the Constitutional Court's decision to correct Article 34 paragraph (2) of Law 20/2003 on the National Education System (Sisdiknas), can be a place to prove political promises as well as Prabowo's superior government program.

"This decision will be proof for President Prabowo to be serious in realizing the improvement of human resources for the Indonesian people," said Efriza, Friday, May 30, 2025.

According to him, President Prabowo will follow up on the Constitutional Court's decision carefully, and take appropriate steps or policies so that the constitutional mandate regarding free education can be carried out properly.

"As president, Prabowo should welcome his joy and show his commitment to caring for education in this country. I am sure Prabowo will be enthusiastic about welcoming the Constitutional Court's decision because it is in line with the desire to advance human resources for the people of Indonesia," explained Efriza.
