Deputy Minister Of Home Affairs: Local Governments Must Support The Establishment Of Red And White Kopdeskel
JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) Bima Arya Sugiarto in his statement in Jakarta, Thursday, reminded the local government (Pemda) to assist the establishment of a red and white village/kelurahan cooperative (kopdeskel).
The Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Muhammad Tito Karnavian, he said, had issued a circular regarding the formation of a regional police task force involving regional heads and regional secretaries (sekda).
Bima emphasized that the regional Kopdeskel task force is not only tasked with ensuring the availability of an unexpected budget (BTT) for the registration of notary deed, but also plays a role in guarding until the cooperative is truly registered, and helps provide understanding to administrators related to the management of cooperatives.
"Let us oversee the assistance together so that the management understands," said Bima during the launch and Dialogue on the Acceleration of Village/Special Village Deliberations for the Establishment of the Red and White Kopdeskel in West Sumatra Province (West Sumatra) at the Auditorium of the West Sumatra Governor's Office, Padang City, Thursday.

The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs appreciates the local government in West Sumatra Province for completing the formation of the village headhead through a special village/kelurahan deliberation.
According to him, the formation of the cooperative concerns the performance of each regional head, including their role in assisting cooperative management so that they can carry out their duties properly.
Bima said the Ministry of Home Affairs would provide assistance to administrators, one of which is through village government centers in a number of areas.
In addition to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Cooperatives and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries also has instruments to support this assistance.
He further explained that the management of the Kopdeskel will involve collaboration of various parties, including State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). Several BUMN business units such as Pos Indonesia and Bulog will be involved in the collaboration.
He also emphasized to the local government and cooperative management the importance of choosing the right business unit, in accordance with the potential of each region.
"We will think together so that we can make sure the business unit is right because not everything can be the same, in villages of course the farmer and marine sectors can. However, in urban areas, the village may be basic necessities and so on," he explained.
On the other hand, Bima said that the establishment of the kopdeskel was President Prabowo's effort to encourage equitable development to villages. This is part of the government's move to make Indonesia a developed country by 2045.
"In order to jump up and drip under the economic growth earlier, the foothold is cooperative," said Bima.
As additional information, the activity was attended by Deputy Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono, Governor of West Sumatra Mahyeldi Ansharullah, a number of representatives from related ministries and institutions, regional heads throughout West Sumatra Province, and other relevant officials.
