Strengthening SOEs In The New Era, Erick Thohir Inaugurates Two Officials

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir inaugurated two officials of the Middle High Leadership Ministry of SOEs as an important step in strengthening internal consolidation and ensuring the sustainability of SOE transformation.

This inauguration was carried out based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 95/TPA of 2025 dated May 23, 2025.

The two officials are Dwi Ary Purnomo as Deputy for Finance and Risk Management, and Wahyu Kuncoro as Deputy for the Creation of BUMN Values.

"The presence of Mr. Wahyu and Pak Dwi will strengthen the function of the Ministry of SOEs. The transformation of SOEs over the past five years has shown positive results. Now, with the presence of Danantara, we are entering a new era, an era of stability and growth," said Erick quoting Antara.

Erick explained that in an era like today, the role of the Danantara will be more corporate, while the Ministry of SOEs will focus on being the regulator, supervisor, and support system.

He emphasized that there would be no overlap of authority because their respective roles had been clearly regulated in the BUMN Law no. 1 of 2025.

All parties in BUMN, he added, must work together to support President Prabowo Subianto's vision. In addition, he emphasized the importance of an ongoing internal transition.

Furthermore, all are given duties and responsibilities by the Minister of SOEs which are well defined.

Structural and functional adjustments at the deputy, expert staff, and special staff levels will soon be made to align the direction of the new organization.

"We have to complete this transition in the next few months as part of the first step in the new journey of SOEs," he added.

Prior to taking office as his new position, Dwi Ary Purnomo served as Assistant Deputy for Risk Management and Compliance in the 2021-2025 period.

Meanwhile, Wahyu Kuncoro previously served as President Director of Perum Perhutani (2020'20), and had held a number of strategic positions at the Ministry of SOEs, including Deputy for Agro and Pharmacy Industry Business (2016'2019) and Deputy for Business Infrastructure Business (2015'2016).
