MSME Holding Solutions To Upgrade Class And Access KUR

JAKARTA - Member of Commission VII DPR RI Beniyanto assessed the concept of Holding MSMEs as the right idea to strengthen the MSME sector, as well as make it easier for small business actors to access People's Business Credit (KUR) facilities channeled by the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara).

"The government has prepared a budget of Rp. 300 trillion through the KUR scheme. This MSME holding can be a collective vehicle so that MSME players can access these facilities more easily and effectively," said Beniyanto as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 28.

He added that the MSME Holding also plays an important role as a forum for training, socialization, and education for business actors.

The focus of this step is to ensure that MSME products meet the selling eligibility standards according to applicable regulations.

There are still many MSME players who need assistance, especially in terms of product feasibility and marketing strategies. We can learn from several cases such as Warung Mama Banjar in South Kalimantan or Ayam Widuran in Solo, which reflects the importance of sustainable assistance," he said.

Beniyanto also reminded that culinary products such as snacks ready for consumption must meet various provisions, including the expiration date, halal certification, and information on nutritional value.

There are still many MSME products that do not meet this standard. Therefore, I encourage the Ministry of MSMEs to take strategic steps in the implementation of the MSME Holding program so that assistance to business actors is really effective," he said.

Beniyanto also hopes that the synergy between the government and MSME players will continue to be strengthened, in order to encourage Indonesian MSMEs to advance to class and be able to compete in the national and global markets.
