ASN-West Aceh Honorary Returns Total Rp600 Million In Cash Related To Road Light Tax Corruption
The West Aceh District Attorney (Kejari) has so far confiscated around Rp600 million in cash in cases/cases of alleged corruption in the street lighting tax at the West Aceh Regency Government, with an indication of state financial losses of Rp2.62 billion.
"The Rp600 million money came from the return of a number of witnesses, which we have been conducting investigations related to alleged corruption cases," said Head of the West Aceh District Attorney Siswanto accompanied by Head of Intelligence Ahmad Lutfi as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 28.
The confiscation of this money after this incentive fund was returned by a number of state civil servants (ASN) and freelance daily honorary/power employees who were suspected of having participated in receiving the funds within 2018-2022.
According to him, the money confiscated was thought to have come from the results of regional tax corruption, after previously being returned on awareness of the recipients of the incentive money for regional tax levies, which had been received since 2018 - 2022.
In this case, said Siswanto, investigators from the West Aceh District Attorney's Office have also named five state civil servants (ASN) within the West Aceh Regency Government as suspects in corruption cases.
There are also five ASNs named as suspects, including the initials MH as the Head of the West Aceh BPKD in 2018-2020, JJ as the Acting Head of the West Aceh BPKD in 2020-2021.
Furthermore, Z as Head of West Aceh BPKD in 2019 and 2021-2022, EH as Head of West Aceh BPKD Revenue in 2018, and SF as Head of Revenue in 2019 - 2022.
Siswanto said that in this case his party had also asked for information or examined 80 witnesses related to the alleged corruption case being handled.

The West Aceh District Attorney also asked the parties who feel they have participated in receiving tax incentive funds from 2018-2022 to immediately return the funds to investigators.
"If you really feel you have no right to accept, please return it," he said again.
Currently, the West Aceh District Attorney is still waiting for the results of the audit of indications of state financial losses in the alleged corruption case being handled.
