The Minister Of Manpower Said About The Viral Thousands Of People Traveling To Chaotic Finding Work At The Cikarang Job Fair
JAKARTA - Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli emphasized the importance of risk mapping and proper arrangements related to the implementation of the job fair.
This follows a fair job held by the Bekasi Regency Government (Pemkab) at the President University Convention Center Building, Jababeka, North Cikarang, Tuesday (27/5), marked by chaos among job seekers.
"We evaluated it. (It's better for the organizers to) Manage from the start, we can map the risk. We will fix it," said Minister of Manpower Yassierli as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 28.
As for the job fair in Cikarang, it was reported that job seekers were jostling to enter, some even fell unconscious.
The Bekasi Regency Manpower Office said it had opened more than 2,000 job vacancies, but the working seekers who came reached more than 25,000 people.
Minister of Manpower Yassierli also admitted that this is homework for relevant stakeholders so that they can hold a fair job properly and be more organized.
"This is homework, we are aware and understand that we need greater effort related to the (process) recruitment of labor," said the Minister of Manpower.
"Hopefully the fair-job fair will be able to facilitate them (work seekers) better," he added.

Yassierli gave his appreciation for the implementation of the job market which he considered was an effort to reduce the unemployment rate.
"We must appreciate how enthusiastic to carry out this fair job in various provinces. If there are cases (as in Cikarang), of course, the hope is that in the future it can be better, and become an evaluation material, (enhancing coordination and guidance to employment agencies," said Yassierli.
