Police Suspend Detention Of 15 Trisakti Students Suspecting Ricuh At DKI City Hall
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya suspended the detention of 15 Trisakti students suspected of rioting at the DKI Jakarta City Hall building during a demonstration on Wednesday (21/5).
"15 people have been suspended," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 28.
Ade Ary explained that the 15 people had their detention suspended with their guarantor being family.
However, he has not explained in detail the one student who is still being detained because previously he has named 16 suspects in the case.
Previously, a number of students arrested by Polda Metro Jaya related to the riots at the DKI Jakarta City Hall Building on Wednesday (21/5) had been discharged.
"Now we are in the process of repatriating one by one, only 15 people have been sent home," said Amnesty Internasional Indonesia Executive Director Usman Hamid.

Usman said there was still one student with the initials MAA who had not been sent home because he would still be examined further. "One person will still be investigated further because he was arrested later," he said.
The police named 16 Trisakti students as suspects in the demonstration that ended in chaos at the DKI Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday (21/5) due to a group of mobs forcing their way inside.
