Due To Social Media Uploads, The Agency Denies After Karina Aespa Allegedly Supported 02

JAKARTA - SM Entertainment released a statement after their artist, Karina aespa, was suspected of providing political support. This can be seen through his social media which then raises questions.

Tuesday, May 27, Karina uploaded several photos of herself wearing a red jacket and number two. Because of the photo, he allegedly voiced support for the presidential and party candidate pairs ahead of the presidential election in Korea.

The singer whose real name is Yoo Jimin seems to know the questions that arise from the photo, as a result, removing the photos from social media.

Avoiding speculation, SM Entertainment released a statement. Even though it was deleted, they emphasized that Karina had no other purpose in uploading it on social media.

"We apologize for causing concern with Karina's latest post. Karina only shares something from her daily life on social media with no other thing or purpose," said SM Entertainment on Wednesday, May 28.

"When he realized his upload could be misunderstood, he immediately deleted it. We apologize for the pressure that was there because of this situation," he continued.

The agency also hopes that the uploads of their artists including Karina are not seen as a political form in the future.

"We hope that the intention of our artist is not seen as a specific agenda and we will do more to protect Karina and all of our artists. Thank you," concluded the agency.
