Assets Of Former Taspen President Director Antonius Kosasih Worth Rp28 Billion And Foreign Money Confiscated By KPK
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said assets worth tens of billions of rupiah belonging to the former President Director of PT Taspen (Persero), Antonius NS Kosasih have been confiscated. Forced efforts were made as long as investigators investigated allegations of corruption related to fictitious investments in the state-owned company.
"KPK has confiscated assets belonging to Antonius NS Kosasih with a value of Rp28 billion. The assets consist of 7 apartment units, 3 plots of land and 3 units of cars," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, May 28.
Budi also mentioned that Antonius Kosasih's money was confiscated by the KPK. All in foreign denominations with details of 127 US dollars; 283 Singapore dollars; 10 thousand euros; 1,470 baht; 128 Japanese yen; 500 Hong Kong dollars; and 1,262,000 South Korean won.
Then the KPK also confiscated money from the hands of Ekiawan Heri Primaryanto, who is the President Director of Insight Investments Management (IIM). The details are Rp200 million and US$242,390.
"Not only that, the KPK also confiscated other assets from related parties," said Budi.
Budi said, the value of assets confiscated from other parties reached Rp. 152.5 billion. All of these confiscations are referred to as an effort to recover state losses due to the reckless practices carried out by Antonius Kosasih during his tenure.
In addition, confiscation is also a way to prove the case that is being tried.
"In addition to proving the case, all of these confiscation measures are part of the strategy to optimize asset recovery or asset recovery which is the focus of the KPK in handling corruption cases," he said.
"Asset recovery is an important effort in maintaining the integrity of the legal system and providing justice for the state as well as providing a deterrent effect for perpetrators of corruption," continued Budi.

As previously reported, Antonius Nicholas Stephanus Kosasih as the former President Director of PT Taspen was charged with enriching himself worth Rp34.08 billion in connection with the alleged fictitious investment case at PT Taspen (Persero) in 2019. The prosecution read out his indictment at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Tuesday, May 27.
In the indictment, it was stated that Kosasih, who at that time served as Investment Director of PT Taspen in 2019, benefited from investment in the Mutual Fund I-Next G2 to issue Sukuk Ijarah TPS Food 2 in 2016 from the portfolio of PT Taspen without the support of recommendations from investment analysis results.
In addition to enriching himself, Kosasih is also suspected of enriching other people and corporations, namely Ekiawan amounting to US$242,390, Patar Sitanggang Rp200 million, PT IIM Rp44.21 billion, and PT Pacific Sekuritas Indonesia Rp108 million.
Several other parties enriched in the case, namely PT KB Valbury Sekuritas Indonesia worth Rp2.46 billion, Sinar Emas Sekuritas Rp44 million, and PT TPSF Rp150 billion.
For this action, the state was harmed by Rp1 trillion, so that Kosasih and Ekiawan were threatened with crime in Article 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 of 2001 jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
