Bogor City Police Prepares 6 Separate Posts For Lebaran Homecoming Operations

JAKARTA - The Bogor City Government and the Bogor City Police have prepared six bulkhead post locations on the city limits and two check point locations in the Lebaran homecoming alert operation, on May 6-17, 2021.

Then, the two check point locations prepared are at Bogor Station and at Baranangsiang Terminal.

According to Susatyo, the preparation of an insulating post at the city limits as well as a check point at entry points to Bogor City, namely train stations and terminals, is aimed at preventing travelers from coming to Bogor City or residents of Bogor City who will go home to out of town. "Except, going home in the Greater Jakarta area (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi)," he said.

This Lebaran homecoming alert operation will be effective from May 6 to May 17, 2021, in accordance with the regulations set by the central government.

Previously, the COVID-19 Handling Task Force had issued Circular Letter Number 13 of 2021 concerning the Elimination of Eid Al-Fitr Homecoming in 2021 and Efforts to Control the Spread of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) During the Holy Month of Ramadan 1442 Hijriah.

According to Susatyo, in this Lebaran homecoming alert operation, the COVID-19 Handling Task Force deployed around 15,000 joint officers, from the Bogor City Government and Bogor City Police who were assisted by TNI personnel from the Bogor City Command 0606 and Denpom III / 1 Bogor.

"Each partition post will be guarded by a joint team for 24 hours, with shifts, namely three groups of shifts," he said.

The joint team also maintains check point locations at Bogor Station and at the Baranangsiang main terminal. During the homecoming vigilance operation, on May 6-17, the operation of inter-city inter-provincial buses (AKAP) and intercity intercity buses (AKDP) was temporarily suspended.

According to Susatyo, at the six bulkhead post locations, vehicles coming from outside the city and vehicles outside the city will be temporarily stopped and checked for identity and negative COVID-19 certificates.

"For ASN, TNI, and Polri, they are asked to show a certificate from their leadership. If they cannot show it, then the vehicle is asked to turn around," he said.

Susatyo explained that the target of this homecoming vigilance operation is to reduce the spread of COVID-19, especially during the month of Ramadan and the Eid holidays. "Do not let the mobility of the people going home for Eid, then it will cause a spike in COVID-19 cases after Eid," he said.
