Manchester United Activate Matheus Cunha Release Clause At Wolves

JAKARTA - Wolverhampton Wanderers have given permission to Manchester United to finalize a deal with Matheus Cunha.

Manchester United initially tried to negotiate a deal that would make the money paid for four or five years.

However, according to ESPN reports, the Red Devils have activated a release clause of 62.5 million pounds in Cunha's contract and agreed to pay the fee for two years.

Wolves have given Manchester United permission to conduct a medical examination for the Brazilian forward, who will sign a five-year contract.

Personal requirements have been approved, unless there are problems at a later date. The 26-year-old will be Manchester United's first signing this summer.

Cunha, who has played at Atletico Madrid, Hertha Berlin, and RB Leipzig, has just finished her best season at Wolves scoring 15 goals in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are also waiting for an answer from Liam Delap about whether he wants to take Cunha to Old Trafford.

The deal framework for the Ipswich Town forward has been approved, but he is also in demand by a number of other clubs including Chelsea.

Delap will leave Ipswich this summer after they are relegated from the Premier League. The 22-year-old young England international scored 12 league goals in 36 appearances.
