VOI Today: Voice Recording Allegedly Budi Arie Leaked, Accuses BG And PDIP Of Denouncing His Name

A number of PDIP cadres came to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police to report the Minister of Cooperatives Budi Arie on Tuesday, May 27, in the aftermath of the circulation of a voice recording that was allegedly Budi Arie's voice calling PDIP and Budi Gunawan one of the masterminds behind the framing 'tah' online gambling (judol).

PDIP reported Budi Arie on suspicion of Article 310 of the Criminal Code regarding defamation, Article 311 of the Criminal Code concerning slander, and Article 27A of the ITE Law. PDIP DPP chairman Puan Maharani asked Budi Arie to clarify his alleged voice recording.

It is known that the name of the former Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie appeared in the indictment of the alleged protection of online gambling sites by a number of unscrupulous Ministry of Communication and Information employees. In the indictment, Budi Arie is said to have received 50 percent of commissions from the practice of protecting judol sites so as not to be blocked by the Ministry of Communication and Information.
