Data Foundation For Inclusive And Sustainable Development

TANJUNG SELOR (North Kalimantan Provincial Government) launched the One Regional Data program as a strategic step to support the realization of an accurate, up-to-date, integrated, and publicly accessible Indonesian Data System.

This initiative marks the commitment of the Provincial Government to strengthen data governance as the basis for effective and inclusive regional development policies.

This launch was carried out as an implementation of Presidential Regulation Number 39 of 2019 concerning One Data Indonesia, as well as Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 5 of 2024 concerning One Domestic Government Data (SDPDN).

At the provincial level, this commitment is demonstrated through the issuance of Governor Regulation Number 30 of 2022 concerning One Regional Level Indonesia Data and the institutional establishment of North Kalimantan SDD through Governor Decree Number 100.3.3.1/173/2025.

In the One Regional Data forum involving all stakeholders, the Provincial Government collected and verified 1,961 sectoral statistical data from all OPDs.

This process was carried out by the North Kalimantan SDD team consisting of the Bappeda-Litbang (as the One Data Secretariat), the North Kalimantan Province Statistics and Association Communications Office (as the Data Guardian), and the Central Statistics Agency of Kaltara Province (as the Data Trustee).

"One Regional Data is an integral part of synchronizing national and regional development planning. Bappenas fully supports this implementation as a more accurate, efficient, and targeted planning foundation," said Rolly Rochmad Purnomo, Deputy Secretary for Economics and Digital Transformation Bappenas, Tuesday, May 27.

Meanwhile, the Head of Data and Information Review Management, Data Center and Information System, Ministry of Home Affairs Yeni Indah Susanti said that as part of the regional digital transformation, the Kaltara Provincial Government also introduced the Beautiful Sidara 2.0 E-data platform, which is the development of the previous application.

"This platform is an official data center for the provincial government that can be accessed by the public openly and transparently," he said.

"Integration and interoperability of local government data are the main foundations in realizing efficient and evidence-based governance. Through One Domestic Government Data, the Ministry of Home Affairs encourages the alignment of cross-regional and central data so that planning and budgeting are more targeted," he continued.

The launch of the One Data Region of North Kalimantan received full support from the SKALA Program (Sinergy and Collaboration for Basic Service Acceleration), a partnership program between the Government of Australia and Indonesia.

The SKALA program supports strengthening data governance, increasing institutional capacity, and facilitating sectoral data verification processes in North Kalimantan.
