Yamaha Tracer 9 GT Becomes The First In The World To Tacipi Motorcycle Bagation Technology Without Key And Wireless From SHAD

SHAD, the legendary name in the world of motorcycle accessories, made a surprise again. This time, they launched a revolutionary innovation, namely the world's first keyless baggage system that uses wireless power transfer technology. So, there's no need to bother looking for keys or complicated with tangled cables. Just slide it, install it, and step on the gas right away.

Launching Visordown, Wednesday, May 27, this technology first appeared at the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT, making it a pioneer in providing real convenience for motorists. All systems are integrated smoothly where there are no cables to connect to, no plugs to look for. Just click and everything is ready to be used.

Different from similar systems that still rely on cables or large connectors, SHAD uses Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) technology similar to wireless chargers on smartphones. On the motorbike, there is a transmitter. In the trunk, there is a receiver. When the two are interconnected, the energy is transferred without the need for physical contact. As a result? A clean, waterproof system, and free from the risk of highlighty plugs or loose connectors.

And not just to open and close baggage. This wireless power also turns on the interior lights and even provides a USB port to charge the gadget. Forgot to close the trunk? No problem That's how the bike runs more than 10 km/hour, the system will automatically close it. Smart and practical!

Four Years Of Research, The Result Is Only 0.6 Seconds Of Connection

Developing this technology is not a night job. NAD, SHAD's parent company, took four years to work with Yamaha to improve it. One of the biggest challenges? Connection time. At the beginning of testing, the system took 5 seconds to connect but after a massive software overhaul, now the connection time is only 0.6 seconds.

The project involved more than 4,000 hours of work and road testing for more than 10,000 km. The result is a completely ready-to-use system, not just an exhibition concept. All components have international certification for mass production and marketing.

For now, an exclusive SHAD keyless system is present at the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT. However, NAD hints that this technology will be developed for other models, perhaps even for the after-sales accessory market. They are also preparing a variety of other electronic innovations for the world of motor trunk.
