Bahlil Ngaku Blasphemed By Warganet When Changing Retail Policy Prohibited From Selling 3 Kg Of Elpiji

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia said that when he was questioned by the public and netizens when he changed the policy to prohibit retailers from selling 3 kilograms of LPG (kg).

"When I was beaten, tested the case with LPG. Elpiji, I was treated as rujak seasoning there," said Bahlil, quoted on Tuesday, May 27.

In fact, he said, 3 kg LPG cylinders have been issued by the government for IDR 4 250 per kilogram (kg) since 2007. Thus, the price of 3 kg LPG should only be priced at IDR 12,000 to IDR 13,000. If it is added with distribution costs to agents, he continued, the maximum price of LPG enjoyed by the public is only between IDR 16,000 to IDR 17,000 per tube.

However, in reality, 3 kg of LPG is sold for up to IDR 20,000, even IDR 25,000 per cylinder.

"Once put in order, those who are comfortable are beating them, it's as if the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources made the wrong policy," he said.

In fact, he said, the government's goal to control is so that the LPG price received by the community does not miss the price set by the government.

For this reason, Bahlil emphasized that he would not hesitate to face parties who take advantage of subsidies sourced from state money for personal gain.

"So I never stop facing people who want to destroy this nation. There is no compromise," said Bahlil.
