Mazda EZ-6 Coming To Steering Right Version In Australia

JAKARTA - Mazda is starting to get serious in working on the global electrification market by launching the latest two lines, namely EZ-6 and EZ-60.

These two cars are the result of a joint venture partnership between Mazda and Changan, namely Changan Mazda in China. Of course, the two products will be expanded to a number of major markets in the world.

Among the two models, Mazda ensured that EZ-6 or another name Mazda6e would come with a right steering configuration and one of the markets that would welcome the arrival of this sedan was Australia.

Managing Director of Mazda Australia, Vinesh Bhindi said Mazda6e is one of the newest models to receive this configuration so it is quite open the possibility that the car will arrive in the country early.

"At this stage, the only new model available in the right wheel is Mazda6e," Vinesh was quoted as saying by CarExpert, Tuesday, May 27.

In addition to the car in line with the brand's global vision, he hopes that the local government will also support carbon neutrality in order to facilitate the large adoption of electric vehicles in rural countries.

"I think if the government is really determined to reduce our carbon footprint from Australia, we can only hope they will act stronger and harder against electric-powered cars. Mazda will offer it if we can," Vinish added.

Mazda EZ-6 or Mazda6e has a fairly wide dimension with a length of 4,921 mm, a width of 1,890 mm, a height of 1,491 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,895 mm.

Mazda revealed that this car will be equipped with a 68.8 kWh battery that can provide it with a range of up to 479 km in full charging.

Meanwhile, the manufacturer also offers a large battery package measuring 80 kWh which is claimed to cover a distance of up to 552 km filled 100 percent.

With the possibility that the car is present in the right steering wheel, this strengthens the potential sale of Mazda EZ-6 for the Indonesian market.
