The Bandung City Police (Polrestabes) arrested one person suspected of being involved in the destruction of the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA) facility after the match between Persib Bandung and Persis Solo on Saturday, May 24.

"One person has been arrested," said Head of Bandung Polrestabes Police Commissioner Budi Sartono in Bandung, Tuesday, May 27, confiscated by Antara.

According to Budi, currently his party is still investigating the arrested perpetrators. In addition, the police are still hunting for other perpetrators who were involved in the destruction of the stadium.

"It's still being investigated," he said.

The destruction of the GBLA Bandung Stadium facility occurred after the final match of Liga 1 for the 2024/2025 season between Persib Bandung and Persis Solo.

In a number of videos circulating on social media, several supporters suspected of being Bobotoh damaged various stadium facilities.

The vandalism includes lifting the grass, cutting the net, and vandalism in the stands.

Meanwhile, Deputy CEO of PT Persib Bandung with dignity (PBB), Adhitia Putra Herawan, expressed his concern about a number of Bobotoh who took actions that could harm the club.

"In fact, at this time we are continuing to strive to fix and beautify GBLA so that it can become a place that is more comfortable and proud, both for players and all Persib supporters," said Adhitia.

He emphasized that GBLA Stadium is not just a match venue, but an important icon that has historical and emotional value for Bandung residents.

"GBLA is home to our beloved and proud club, namely Persib. All parties certainly have a responsibility to care for and protect this place so that it remains the pride of all of us," he said.
