Update On COVID-19 As Of May 2: 4,394 New Cases, Jakarta Records The Highest Recovery Rate

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health has released the latest data related to the COVID-19 pandemic today, Sunday, May 2 at 12.00 WIB.

In the report, it was revealed that the addition of positive cases was 4,394 cases. Then, the cure rate was 3,740 people, and the case mortality was 144 people.

Thus, the accumulated number of cases of the COVID-19 pandemic since it was discovered in Indonesia is 1,677,274 positive cases. Then, 1,530,718 people recovered, and 45,796 people died.

In more detail, the most positive cases came from the DKI Jakarta area with 854 cases. Followed later, West Java with a record of 672 cases, and Riau with 583 cases.

Furthermore, for the recovery rate, DKI Jakarta has made quite encouraging results with 984 people recovering. This means that today in the Capital area more people have recovered from COVID-19 compared to new positive cases.

Meanwhile, the second region that contributed the most to recovery was Yogyakarta with 308 people recovering, and East Java, which was said to have recovered as many as 208 people.

Then, the highest number of deaths came from East Java with 27 people, Central Java with 18 people, and Riau with 16 people.

Turning to the vaccination aspect, today it is found that 13,901 people received phase I vaccines with a total of 12,457,164 people.
