BAIC International Directly Falls To Succeed Local Assembly BJ40 Plus In Indonesia

JAKARTA - BAIC International deployed a team of six experienced experts to collaborate with local teams, in supporting the production of BJ40 Plus vehicles in the country. This step affirms the full support of the BAIC principal in Beijing, China, towards BAIC Indonesia's strategic initiative.

This is a follow-up to the delivery of two experts from BAIC Indonesia and also five experts from the PT HIM Assembly Factory to Beijing, China some time ago, to obtain training on standard assembly processes, quality control and employment quality, directly at the BAIC International-OWNED Off-Road vehicle special factory or BAIC ORV FACTORY in Beijing for 2 weeks.

BAIC Indonesia Chief Operating Officer Dhani Yahya, said the presence of a team of experts from the center was very meaningful support. Thus, it shows the company's seriousness to ensure that the BJ40 Plus assembled in Indonesia has the same high quality as the BAIC global product.

"This technology transfer process will strengthen the capabilities of our local team and become a solid foundation for the production of other BAIC models in the future," he said, in a statement received on Tuesday, May 27.

The six experts from BAIC International have arrived at the assembly facility of PT Handal Indonesia Motor (PT HIM) and will cooperate intensively with experts from BAIC Indonesia and PT HIM. Then a few moments ago, two people were fully responsible for controlling the quality of work, directly from BAIC International.

This proactive step from BAIC International is a clear proof of a strong commitment to fully support efforts to localize the production of BJ40 Plus. The principal not only provides administrative support, but also goes directly by sending their best human resources to ensure effective and efficient technology transfer to local workers.

Later, there will be four focuses from the central team of experts while in Indonesia, starting from direct assistance at each stage of the assembly process, then implementing and supervising quality control in each production, ensuring that the results of assembly in Indonesia are in accordance with global quality standards set by BAIC Internasional. As well as transfer of knowledge and assembly technology expertise to the local BAIC Indonesia team and PT HIM.
