Minister Of Public Works Will Gather BUJT To Discuss Toll Rates Discounts June-July 2025

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo said that he would soon gather a Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) to discuss government directives to return to providing toll rate discount incentives in June this year.

Dody explained that the plan to provide discounted toll rates was as conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto.

"Later we will discuss gathering all toll road business entities for one of the issues of toll rates in several sections," said Dody to reporters as quoted on Tuesday, May 27.

Dody revealed that the plan to provide incentives was carried out to encourage Indonesia's economic growth in the second quarter of 2025.

Even so, Dody said, negotiating the tariff discount with BUJT did take time. The reason is l, the policy will have a direct impact on BUJT's operating income.

Therefore, Dody admitted that he would formulate a number of incentives for BUJT as a form of win-win solution from the implementation of the toll tariff discount policy.

"In the end, their profits will decrease and whether there will be additional compensation from the government, right, as well as something that we can discuss again," he added.

Previously, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said the government would issue six economic incentives.

Among them are plane ticket discounts, toll tariff discounts, electricity tariff discounts, social assistance thickening, wage subsidies and work Accident Insurance (JKK) contributions.

The six stimulus from the government are still in the finalization stage and are scheduled to be launched on June 5, 2025.

Airlangga hopes that the incentives provided by the government can boost public consumption as well as affect national economic growth.
