Reveals Circulation Of 1 Kg Of Marijuana In Indramayu, Police: Delivery System Using Map Points

The police have uncovered a case of narcotics trafficking of 1 kilogram (kg) of dried marijuana in Sleman Village, Sliyeg District, Indramayu, West Java, by securing a suspect with the initials M.

Indramayu Police Chief AKBP Ari Setyawan Wibowo said the disclosure of the case began with reports from the public who suspected drug trafficking activities in the area.

The arrest of the perpetrator, he said, was on May 13, 2025 by the Indramayu Police Narcotics Unit team after conducting an investigation into information from residents.

"We managed to secure 1 kilogram of marijuana from suspect M. For the location of the incident, it was in Sleman Village, Sliyeg District," he said in Indramayu, Tuesday, May 27, which was confiscated by Antara.

In addition to marijuana, according to him, from the hands of the suspect officers also confiscated three packages of crystal methamphetamine weighing a total of 1 gram and a unit of digital scales to measure the illicit goods.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Indramayu Police Narcotics Unit, AKP Tatang Sunarya, said that the marijuana was part of a shipment weighing 3 kilograms by a dealer from Jakarta to the suspect.

"The delivery with the map point system (map) in Gantar, Indramayu Regency. Of the 3 kilograms of marijuana received by the suspect, 2 kilograms have been sold," he said.

AKP Tatang said that M was not the first to receive drug shipments from the network. In fact, the suspect has received a total of 10 kilograms of marijuana from the same network.

Currently, he said, the suspect is still undergoing intensive examination at the Indramayu Police and is charged with Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.

The police are also hunting for the main sender who lives in Jakarta on suspicion of becoming a permanent supplier to suspect M in Indramayu.

"The perpetrator got the goods from a dealer in Jakarta," he said.

Throughout May 2025, the Indramayu Police have uncovered 17 cases of drug trafficking and illegal drugs with a total of 24 suspects.

The evidence that was successfully secured from all the disclosures, namely 1 kilogram of marijuana, 22.95 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 1,091 grams of synthetic tobacco, and 9,149 certain hard drugs.
