Ukraine: China Supplys Machines To Medical Powders To 20 Russian Military Factories

JAKARTA - Ukraine says China supplies a number of important products to Russian military factories. This finding corroborates preliminary suspicions about Beijing's assistance to Russia.

"There is information that China supplies tools, special chemical products, transcendential powder, and special components to the defense manufacturing industry," Ukraine's Intelligence Chief By Ivashchenko told state news agency Ukrinform.

"We have confirmed data on 20 Russian factories," he said.

Reuters has not received a response from China regarding this news from Ukraine.

China, the world's second-largest economy, has established closer trade and economic ties with Russia since Moscow sent tens of thousands of troops to Ukraine in February 2022, sparking Western sanctions against Russia's economy.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy last month said China was supplying weapons and powder to Russia.

The statement was for the first time Zelenskyy publicly accused Beijing of providing direct military assistance to Moscow.

China rejected the allegations as "baseless" but Kyiv imposed sanctions on three Chinese entities.

Ivashchenko said Ukrainian intelligence also had information about five cases of cooperation between Russia-China in the aviation sector in 2024-2025, including supplies of equipment, spare parts, and documentation.

In addition, there are six cases of "big shipments" of special chemicals, without providing details.
