3 SOEs Karya Keroyokan Bangun Dapur MBG, Minister Of Public Works: Operate No Later Than August

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) together with three BUMN Karya will build three kitchens of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) to support President Prabowo Subianto's Free Nutrition Eating (MBG) program.

PU Minister Dody Hanggodo said that the financing for the construction of the SPPG kitchen facilities would come from the bags of three BUMN Karya, namely PTPP (Persero) Tbk, PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk and PT Hutama Karya.

"Because it has never been budgeted in the APBN, I specifically ask the Minister of SOEs (Erick Thohir) for help to be willing to give up a little CSR (fund) to wake us up some prototype kitchens (MBG)," said Dody to reporters at his office, Monday, May 26.

"There are three SOEs that are pleased, maybe Adhi Karya, PT PP and Hutama Karya," he continued.

The construction of these facilities will take place in Kebumen, Banjar and Jambi. PT PP (Persero) Tbk will build SPPG in Banjar, PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk in Kebumen and PT Hutama Karya (Persero) in Jambi.

"(The three SOEs) will build their own kitchen model according to their architectural design, there must be an advantage. There are those who excel in speed, some are superior in construction infrastructure and some are more cost efficient," said Dody.

Later, the SPPG kitchen will be built on land owned by the Ministry of Public Works with an area of about 900 square meters each.

The budget prepared by each BUMN Karya for the construction is IDR 4.5 billion.

Dody targets that the three MBG kitchens will operate no later than August 2025. "We are targeting the MBG kitchen in the three locations to operate no later than August," he explained.

He hopes that the three SOEs can build MBG kitchens with very good models. "We hope that this is a very good model that can be taken as a big prototype of friends who manage the (Program) Free Nutrition Food," he added.
