President Prabowo Attends 46th ASEAN Summit at KLCC

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, today, to attend the 46th ASEAN Summit (KTT).

The President arrived at 08.35 local time (WS) and was greeted directly by Malaysian Prime Minister (PM) Anwar Ibrahim in the KLCC yard, quoted from a statement received by Antara, Monday, May 26.

The two heads of state then immortalized this moment in a photo together with the background of Malaysia's icon, the Petronas Twin Towers.

Afterwards, Prabowo was directed to the waiting room to join other ASEAN leaders who attended the conference.

From the waiting room, the President and other leaders of state then headed to the conference room. During the trip, the President appeared to have a warm chat with Philippine President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Thai Prime Minister (PM) Paetongtran Shinawatra.

Before the plenary session, the ASEAN leaders first held a group photo session together. At this moment, the President appears to be standing between Cambodian PM Hun Manet and Timor Leste PM Xanana Gusmao.

In the 46th ASEAN Summit themed "Inclusivity and Sustainability", President Prabowo will speak at the plenary session that will raise topics related to ASEAN's steps forward.

In addition, the Head of State will also speak at the retreat session that will globally discuss regional and international issues.

In addition to attending a series of summit meetings, President Prabowo is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with a number of friendly countries.

President Prabowo's presence emphasizes Indonesia's strategic position as a leader in the Southeast Asia region.

The President's presence not only shows Indonesia's commitment to strengthening solidarity in ASEAN, but also strengthens Indonesia's leadership role in the region amidst global dynamics.
