President Prabowo Subianto Officially Attends The 46th ASEAN Summit In Malaysia
JAKARTA - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto arrived at Malaysian Air Force Airport, Selangor, on Sunday, May 25, in order to attend the 46th ASEAN Summit and a number of strategic regional gatherings.
President Prabowo landed at around 19.25 p.m. Malaysian time and was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary, Lt. Col. Teddy Indra Wijaya.
Arriving at the location, President Prabowo was greeted with a line of honor of the Malaysian military and a number of important officials, including the Minister of Agriculture and Malaysian Food Insurance Datuk Hajj Series Mohammad Bin Sabu, Chairman of the Royal Palace Employee (Chief of Ceremony, Prime Minister Department) Dato' Rozainor, Deputy Representative of the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur Rossy Verona, and Defense Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur Brigadier General Winarno.
Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana, said that President Prabowo was scheduled to attend a series of important meetings at the ASEAN 2025 Summit, starting from plenary sessions, retreat sessions, to meetings with ASEAN parliament representatives, youth circles, and business people.
"In Kuala Lumpur, the President is also scheduled to attend the 16th BIMP-EAGA Summit, the 2nd ASEAN-GCC Summit, the ASEAN-GCC-China Summit, and the 16th IMT-GT Summit. These meetings are expected to be an important momentum in an effort to strengthen ASEAN's central role in the midst of global dynamics," Yusuf said in a written statement.

Furthermore, Yusuf explained that President Prabowo's presence at the ASEAN Summit is proof of Indonesia's commitment to continue to strengthen regional cooperation and maintain political and economic stability in the Southeast Asia region.
The 46th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur is seen as a strategic forum to strengthen relations between ASEAN member countries, as well as expand collaboration with external partners in responding to increasingly complex global challenges.
