Wes Brown Believes Manchester United Will Rise Under Ruben Amorium
JAKARTA - Manchester United (MU) legend Wes Brown believes in the revival of his former club with coach Ruben Amorim even though the Portuguese tactician's inaugural season went badly.
"He is a young coach and hopefully he can get the right players this summer. Then let's see Manchester United return next season," said Wes Brown when met by reporters at a shopping center, South Jakarta, Sunday.
MU lost in the Europa2024-2025 League final to Tottenham Hotspur in the middle of this week, where this defeat buried their dream of appearing in the UEFA Champions League next season.
The defeat also failed to save their bad season this season after stumbling in the Premier League, as they were in 16th place with 39 points with 18 defeats.

When asked which player MU needs to buy next season, Brown suggests astriker position. The Red Devils themselves, this season rely on two attackers on their front lines, namely Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
If added up, the number of goals for the two players was only 17 goals. The number of goals is still less than that of Bruno Fernandes this season in the number of 19 goals.
"First of all, I'm not a coach of Manchester United. However, as you said, we lacked goals," Brown said.
