Polda Metro Jaya Securs 17 Members Of The GRIB Ormas Occupying BMKG Land

TANGERANG - The Metro Jaya Regional Police (Polda) arrested 17 people suspected of being members of the GRIB Jaya community organization (ormas) who had occupied land owned by BMKG in Pondok Aren, South Tangerang (Tangsel), Banten.

Of the 17 people who have been arrested, six of them claim to be from the heirs.

"17 people, 11 of whom are elements of the GRIB Jaya mass organization, one of whom is the initial Y, who is the Chairman of the DPC of the GRIB Jaya Tangsel mass organization, then six other people who claim to be heirs on this land," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi in Tangerang, Saturday.

In securing the location of land disputes, said Ade Ary, his party can confiscate several pieces of evidence such as sharp weapons to parking tickets used by the mass organizations to make a profit.

"Earlier there were several attributes, there were parking recaps, parking tickets from GRIB Jaya mass organizations, then there were attributes and flags of the mass organizations, there were also sharp weapons found. There was evidence of transfers as well, from the two tenants to Y," he explained.

Until now, Polda Metro Jaya investigators are still investigating the case to reveal other masterminds who play.

"Later, the team will consider it, everything will be developed," he said.

Meanwhile, the Main Secretary of the BMKG, Guswanto, said that the existence of GRIB Jaya personnel on the land owned by the BMKG had been occupied for a long time.

"After this, it's actually been a long time, yes, but for massive activities there are 2-3 years. However, the heirs have been around for a long time," he said.

Guswanto added that the next step after the dismantling carried out by the police was that his party would utilize the land in accordance with the interests of the BMKG.

"Because BMKG is a government agency, so we will do it as needed. (Bakal built an archive building) We will adjust it later," he said.
