Anticipating The Long Holidays At The End Of May And Central Of June, KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta Prepares 8 Additional Trains

YOGYAKARTA - To anticipate a surge in passenger volume during the long holiday period from late May to mid-June 2025, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area (KAI Daop) 6 Yogyakarta prepared eight additional train (KA) trips for various classes.

"We have prepared eight additional train trips with economic class choices to executives to answer the needs of the community in choosing the appropriate time and type of travel services," said KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta Public Relations Manager Feni Novida Saragih, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, May 24.

Feni explained that the long holiday period will coincide with the commemoration of the Ascension Day of Jesus Christ, the Birthday of Pancasila, and Eid al-Adha.

This momentum is usually used by the community to travel to various regions, so an increase in the volume of train passengers is predicted to be significant.

According to him, the presence of additional trains provides more alternative departures and helps people plan their journey more flexibly.

The additional train travel schedule operated by KAI Daop 6 starts on May 28 to June 2, 2025, which includes the Solo Balapan connection to Pasar Senen with departures at 04.00 WIB, Lempuyangan to Pasar Senen at 06.00 WIB, Yogyakarta to Gambir at 18.20 WIB, and Solo Balapan to Bandung at 21.40 WIB.

Furthermore, in the period 5 to 9 June 2025, two trips were re-operated, namely Yogyakarta to Gambir at 18.20 WIB and Solo Balapan to Bandung at 21.40 WIB.

Meanwhile, on June 5 to 10, 2025, two additional trips were also available, namely Solo Balapan to Pasar Senen at 04.00 WIB and Lempuyangan to Pasar Senen at 06.00 WIB.

Feni appealed to the public to plan trips long ago and immediately book tickets.

He said tickets had been open since D-45 before the departure date and could be accessed through the Access by KAI application, the official website kai.id, and various other official sales channels.

"We invite the public to take advantage of the Additional train at this holiday moment as best they can. With an easy and flexible ordering system through the Access by KAI application, customers can choose the schedule, class, and type of train according to their respective preferences before the ticket runs out," he said.
