All Trenggalek Landslide Victims Found
Six landslide victims in Kebonagung Hamlet, Depok Village, Bendungan District, Trenggalek Regency, East Java were all successfully found dead, so the search operation was declared closed (completed).
"With the discovery of four bodies on the sixth day of the search, the SAR operation was officially declared complete and then focused on being diverted to the process of cleaning up landslide material," said Head of the Surabaya SAR Office, Nanang Sigit, confirmed after the evacuation of the last four bodies was completed on Saturday afternoon, at around 16.00 WIB.
Sigit said the four bodies were found in stages on Saturday (24/5).
The first body was found at 13.10 WIB, followed by the next discovery at 14.12 WIB, 14.30 WIB, and finally 14.40 WIB.
All of the victims were found in a nearby position, buried by landslide material about three meters high.

"Alhamdulillah, all the bodies of the landslide victims have been found. With this, we declare that the search operation is complete," said Nanang.
The four victims found were Nitin (36), Toric (2), Tulus (65), and Yatini (50).
Previously, two other victims on behalf of Yatemi (65) and Misinem (82) were found on the fourth day of the search or Thursday (22.5) and were immediately buried in a hole in the local village TPU.
All bodies were evacuated and taken to Dr. Soedomo Trenggalek Hospital for further identification by the medical team.
Trenggalek Police Chief, AKBP Ridwan Maliki, said the identification process was carried out to ensure the suitability of the victim's data.
The first body found was female, followed by the body of a toddler, an adult woman, and finally an elderly man.
"For identity certainty, we are waiting for official results from the identification team," he said.
The landslide disaster occurred on Monday (19/5) afternoon after heavy rains flushed the area.
As many as six residents were declared missing buried by landslide material. The search process was hampered by road access which was covered by materials and extreme weather.
After the end of the search operation, Nanang stated that further cleaning of the landslide material would be fully handed over to the Trenggalek Regency Government.
"It has become the district government's authority to be followed up," he said.
